:spotlight-right: GROUP RULES AND GUIDELINES :spotlight-left:

This is a group for artists who love working with pen and ink, and whose galleries have a substantial amount of traditional pen and ink work in it. It doesn't have to be most of your work, or even half of it, but it has to be a substantial amount.

We prefer that you have a minimum of ten TRADITIONAL pen and ink pieces in your gallery. However, you may still be accepted if you have a couple less than that, at our discretion. Most importantly, we care that you are passionate about the medium.

You are welcome to watch our group even if you have no pen and ink artwork in your gallery. However, should you desire to join us as a member, please:

:bulletred: Make a folder in your gallery for your pen and ink artwork BEFORE submitting your request to join. This allows us to gauge how much of your work is pen and ink without having to scroll through hundreds of unrelated deviations.

:bulletred: Be aware that we do not tolerate drama, rudeness or immaturity. If you have a bunch of dramatic, immature journals in your page, this may work against you.

:bulletred: Be patient! It may take a few days for your request to be approved.

:spotlight-right: SUBMITTING TO THE GROUP GALLERY :spotlight-left:

Submitting to the Group Gallery is easy-peasy! Just do the following:

1. Go to the Gallery.
2. Click on the "+ Submit to this Gallery" button, at the top right, right above the current featured deviations.
3. Click on "Submit  a New Deviation..." (if that is what you are doing. Then upload your deviation as usual.

OR

3. Click on "Contribute an Existing Deviation..." if it's a deviation already in your gallery. Then locate it and click "OK". All done!

Q. WHY WAS MY SUBMISSION REJECTED?

A. The following types of submissions will be rejected:

:bulletred: Digital Pen and Ink:

These can be lovely! We have nothing against them. But this group is dedicated to traditional Pen and Ink.

:bulletred: Ballpoint pen Drawings:

Again, we've seen some impressive stuff done with ballpoint pens. But that is not the focus of our group.

:bulletred: Roughs, Sketches:

Please submit your best pieces. Let's make out gallery impressive to look at!  Please don't submit scraps or partly inked, unfinished drawings.

Q. SO WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?

A. If you aren't sure your illustration or drawing is okay to submit, look at our gallery. You will notice that every illustration there is  clean, black and white line art. It doesn't matter if you used liner pens, technical pens, or traditional dip-pen and india ink. The only reason we do not accept ballpoint works is because these can achieve such a distinct look, and can be a different medium in their own right.

:ahoy: To sum it up, your subject matter doesn't really matter --full illustrations, comic pages, simpler drawings, pretty much anything goes so long as it's pure, beautiful pen and ink!

:spotlight-right: SUGGESTING FAVORITES :spotlight-left:

This one is important: PLEASE do NOT favorite your own work! You can suggest favorites of non-members and members of our group alike, but please do not suggest yourself. If you would like your art featured in the member's gallery, please submit it using the method outlined above.

Self-suggestions for favorites will be turned down without further explanation. The reason for this is that we get LOTS! So please, we want your artwork in the group --just submit it to the Gallery instead. ;)

Currently I have not that much pen&ink drawings in my gallery, but currently I am drawing a lot of them and I would really like to get accepted in the group :)
